Senior SME Analyst in Tax Risk Management, Assurance & Control
On behalf of your global partner, we are looking for a Senior SME Analyst in Tax Risk Management, Assurance & Control. If you have 6+ years of experience in Indirect Tax Advisory, Audit & Compliance, and would like to utilise your skills in a global role, apply today!
Main responsibilities:
- Work closely with tax and reporting departments to ensure consistency in operations and internal control initiatives within the Indirect Tax Compliance Framework.
- Perform audits to assess control activities within the Indirect Tax Compliance Framework, point out potential risks, and suggest enhancements.
- Examine quarterly data related to the Indirect Tax Compliance Framework for inclusion in management reports.
- Create and execute reports providing insights into tax risks for trend analysis purposes.
- Participate in digital projects aimed at improving risk detection processes.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff members regarding control testing, audit supervision, and refining processes.
Required skills:
- Degree, preferably in Finance / Accounting / Economics or any related field
- 6–8 years of experience in Indirect Tax Advisory, Audit & Compliance.
- Deep understanding of international Indirect Tax regulations.
- Experience in internal controls and process improvement.
- Proficiency in tax accounting principles, particularly in GL reconciliations and clearance.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong project management skills.
- Skilled in utilizing analytical support tools.
