Procurement Officer


Our client is a well-known international Bank. Due to their dynamic growth we are seeking an experienced professional to the following position:


Main responsibilities:
     
  • Facilitates request to pay (“R2P”) processes within the Bank's Hungary Branch;    
  • Ensure that administrative procedures are maintained and proceed to satisfy the requirements of global and local management, internal and external auditors, and other regulatory bodies (Hungarian National Bank);
  • Ensure that the execution of procurement related tasks comply with the Hungarian regulatory requirements, also with the internal Procurement policies and instructions;
  • Act in line procurement related procedures and monitors actions;
  • Support stakeholders and ensure their involvement based on procurement principles during the R2P processes;  
  • Understand the needs of the business, translate these into requirements together with business, be part in solution selection to meet these requirements;
  • Participation in establishing the right price / quality ratio for the Bank’s demands;
  • Participation in the selection of the right vendors with the right qualification for the job (vendors that align with the strategy, objectives and values of the Bank in the working relationship);
  • Manage the contract and supplier throughout the lifecycle of the service to optimise the value of the service; ·      Act in compliance with the internal & external regulators;
  • Reduce risk of doing business with suppliers with undesirable practices or that are financially, socially or environmentally unsound by qualifying suppliers.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc procurement information for the local and global management;
  • Reports to the Head of Procurement and Facility Management.


Required skills:
  • College or University degree in Economics or Finance 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Procurement in  the banking sector is a must;  
  • Experience in participating in projects, or in project management; 
  • Knowledge of banking products, databases and complience systems;
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, ERP (SAP or PeopleSoft), E-sourcing and E-auction tools, other applications that are used in the Finance and Procurement department;
  • Fluency of written and spoken English;
