Global Commodity Lead - Electronics

Our multinational partner is looking for a new Global Commodity Lead - Electronics colleague to join their team. He/She will define the Global direct material sourcing strategy for Electronics components commodity groups, manage annual components negotiations strategy, and support price implementation to build and maintain the most competitive supply chain.


Main responsibilities:
  • Understand overall electronics component commodity and set up sourcing strategy
  • Build a strategic commercial relationship with original equipment manufacturers
  • Tracking component and supplier cost/performance to support the year-end cost reduction proposal
  • Work closely with original equipment manufacturers on all the New Product Implementation projects
  • Collaborate with commodity teams to share the market intelligence information and set up cost-saving targets by the supplier with volume shares
  • Build cost analysis and set up negotiation strategy, lead the pre-negotiations and final negotiations
  • Support final components price cut-ins
  • Own target panel supplier contracts for electronics components commodity
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Line teams
  • Proactively monitors risks, own escalations, mitigation, and initiatives necessary for corrective actions 
  • Leads the evaluation process for business-related commodities and suppliers for business or region 
  • Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives
  • Own Electronics components supplier development across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost


Required skills:
  • Strategic sourcing (electronics) experience
  • 5+ years of experience with exposure to sourcing/global supply chain function
  • Negotiation skills, contracting expertise, commercial and business law knowledge
  • Knowledge of Parts ERP Systems, including Business Intelligence tools (Data Warehouse, Tableau)
  • Project/program leadership
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to perform cost assessments and analysis 
  • Effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions 
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization
  • Self-starter, resourceful, strategic, and global thinker
  • Ability to perform scenario analysis and strategy development 


Advantages:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Process improvement skills 
  • Aptitude with analytical tools (ex. Excel, Access); specific skills should include: data-mining, pivot tables, data manipulation 
  • CPM or APICS certification 
  • Green Belt/Black Belt Certified
