eCommerce Manager

Our market leader partner is a multinational company playing a huge role in the building materials industry. Their products are well-known globally. They are now looking for an experienced eCommerce Manager who will ensure online sales are always maximized across the shops and drive best practices. He/she will own part of the roadmap of the online shops, bringing together different stakeholders to drive forward improvements of the shops.

Main responsibilities:
  • Drive and execute the eCommerce strategy in collaboration with the shop managers to deliver sustainable profitable growth 
  • Be the ‘go-to’ expert for the online shops towards a wide range of stakeholders
  • Own & manage key eCommerce initiatives across the online shops 
  • Actively share and provide updates to stakeholders on the status of the eCommerce activities
  • Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to drive forward the eCommerce activities across the online shops including initiatives such as new functionalities, product launches, improving the customer journey, new logistic services, SEO, conversion rate optimization, and improving customer trust
  • Actively introduce & share best practices & learnings across shops 
  • Identify critical issues and opportunities, evaluate options and provide clear recommendations for eCommerce growth that supports the strategy
  • Run monthly business reviews to track shop performance
  • Evaluate customer research, competitor insights, and data from onsite analytics tools such as google analytics and Hotjar to drive forward improvements on the shops 
  • Create a close dialogue with sales regions to ensure alignment on new initiatives and ongoing eCommerce activities

Required skills:
  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in the field of Business or Marketing
  • 5+ years of experience within a similar eCommerce role managing eCommerce activities in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders 
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated understanding of eCommerce across a wide range of topics: SEO, content optimization, digital merchandising, logistics, CRM systems, and conversion rate optimization
  • Experience delivering successful end-to-end eCommerce initiatives, from concept to execution to reporting and optimization
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders 
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several initiatives at once
  • High energy and enthusiasm for eCommerce
  • Experience working with CMS systems and Google Analytics
  • Proactive, good at prioritizing and planning, according to business needs
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative 
  • High level of written and spoken English is a must

  • Experience working with Sitecore is an advantage but not a requirement
  • International experience
