German-speaking Accountant

Our client is a long-established manufacturing company, a market leader in the field of urban engineering and mobility solutions. As part of their soon to be launched new project, their Budapest SSC is making a transition from the DACH region. For this project, we are looking for future finance colleagues who love challenges and want to be part of this exciting journey. 


Main responsibilities:
  • Participate in the transition of accounting processes from European entities to Hungary 
  • Apply cash transfers and credits/adjustments
  • Send daily cash application status/report to the entity
  • Validate interfaces, check payment runs
  • Schedule payment runs
  • Maintain payment blocks
  • Send payment register/plan for review and approval
  • Post interest and bank charges
  • Reconcile bank accounts with the system
  • Prepare statistics/special reporting requirements
  • Prepare cash flow forecast
  • Manage intercompany clearing process
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve problems


Required skills:
  • Degree preferably in Economics or Finance or equivalent experience
  • At least 1+ years of experience in accounting (primarily payments or AP)
  • Strong English AND active German language skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality
  • Strong customer focus
  • Can-do attitude and ability to work independently
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time


Advantages:
